Uninstall Pervasive/Actian/Zen engine

Description

There are several reasons to remove the Pervasive/Actian/Zen PSQL software installation from the system:

Virus scanning software falsely identifies a file as malicious and deletes it
Other security software may also falsely quarantine files
Power surges or disk problems can corrupt program files
Windows updates overwrite files or otherwise interfere with program function

CAUTION:

The following procedure requires in-depth knowledge of database engines for your Sage product, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Pervasive SQL, and MySQL. Sage can't assist with database administration and isn't responsible for errors resulting from database changes. Back up your system and application databases required for a complete restore. Consider contacting a certified consultant or your database administrator for assistance.

Make sure all users are out of Sage before uninstalling the Pervasive/Actian database engine on the server.
Go to Programs and Features.
Select the engine:
- Actian Zen v15 Enterprise Server SP2 (versions 24.2 and later)
- Actian PSQL [version] (versions 16.1 to 24.1)
- Pervasive PSQL [version] (versions 15.1 and earlier)
Right-click and select Uninstall.
Delete or rename these folders if they exist:
- C:\ProgramData\Actian
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Actian
- C:\Program Files\Actian)
Go to Windows Run or Search.
Type regedit in the box and press Enter.
If the following keys exist, rename them:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Pervasive Software
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Pervasive Software
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Actian
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actian
