How to move Sage Intelligence repository folder from one server to another server

Note: Steps below are for changing repository folders that are using the same version of Sage Intelligence.

  1. Open License Manager, make note of your Account Number and Serial Number
  2. Copy the shared repository folder from old server to new server
    1. Right Click on folder copied in step #2 and click Share With, Advanced Sharing
    2. On the Sharing tab, choose to Share this Folder and type a Share Name
    3. Click Permissions button
    4. Add Full Control or Read/Write permissions for any applicable users.
    5. Click Apply and Ok
  3. Open Report Manager, select File, Change MetaData Repository
  4. Click Yes at the prompt "You are about to switch MetaData and you will be prompted to connect to a new/existing Metadata set."
  5. Browse or type in the Network Repository Path, using a UNC path (i.e. \\NEW SERVER NAME\SMI50) and click Ok
  6. Click Yes at the prompt "Sage 100 ERP Intelligence Reporting has not been registered. To register your product, launch License Manager from the workstation with Windows Administrative privileges?"
  7. In License Manager, type the Account Number and Serial Number noted in step #1
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click Perform Registration

Note: Repeat steps #3-9 on each workstation

After all workstations can successfully generate reports the old repository folder can be deleted
