Is there a Sage 100 hosted solution? What was Sage 100 Online?

Note: New customers are no longer being accepted/onboarded for the Sage 100 Online program. Customers interested in a cloud-based solution are encouraged to contact their local channel partner to discuss possible options.

Note: Sage 100 Online terminated services in July 2018. Existing customers were contacted prior to this, and recommended to switch over to another hosting service.

Sage 100 Online was a hosted solution provided by Sage. Users could remotely connect to their accounting system through a secure interface. Essentially, this was Sage 100 with same interface and key functionality, but the server was not hosted locally or by a third party, it was hosted by Sage.

This article remains published to serve as a research and reference article for analysts and customers as this is still a common question.

Note: Sage 100 online is not the same as Sage 100cloud (formerly Sage 100c). sage 100cloud/100c is named for cloud-connected components and is not hosted in the cloud or hosted by Sage.
