| There is a delay in backup |
Cause | Large or damaged FRM files |
Resolution |
- If your form files are exceptionally large, this can cause a delay or halt in processing backups. See Article ID 12945: DocLink: Slowness printing checks or other forms.
- If your form files are damaged or too large, you can test this by renaming the existing Forms folder in your data path to OLDForms, and running a repair on the program.
- Follow Article ID 10165: DocLink: How to find data path and program path. Find your data path and rename your Forms folder to OLDForms.
- Run a Repair install. See Article ID 10602: DocLink: How to run Repair.
- Open a company and attempt to back up. If you do not encounter a delay, chances are one of your forms was damaged. Either recustomize your forms, or move them back to the Forms folder one at a time and testing backup again until you find the culprit file.
