How to enable or disable access to Customizer Selection in Role Maintenance

Cause
Resolution

Note: The ability to customize of task windows, screens, or panels in Sage 100 should be restricted, with access limited to those who are both familiar with how to use Customizer Selection, and have need to customize the user interface for other users.

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, User Maintenance
    1. Select the User Logon for the user with the problem.
    2. On the Main tab, note the role(s) assigned to the user.
  2. Open Library Master, Main menu, Role Maintenance
    1. Select a Role assigned the user
    2. Click the Tasks tab
    3. Open Sage 100 (or Sage 100 ERP) options
    4. Open Custom Office options
    5. Open Miscellaneous Tasks options
    6. Select (or deselect) the option such that all users with that specific Role will be affected:
      • Customizer Selection
    7. Click the Module Options tab
    8. Open Sage 100 (or Sage 100 ERP) options
    9. Open Custom Office options
    10. Select (or deselect) the option such that all users with that specific Role will be affected:
      • Allow Customization of Forms via Hot-Key
        • Note: The Hot-Key is Ctrl+F9. Using this keyboard input while in a Sage 100 task window wiill open up that task window in the Customizer Selection edit menu, if that task window or screen can be modified, and if the user has the Allow Customization of Forms via Hot-Key setting selected.
    11. Click Accept
    12. Exit Role Maintenance
