Perform local installations to your Sage Timeslips workstations

To install Sage Timeslips on a workstation, you must have already installed Sage Timeslips on the server, and shared server access to your Sage Timeslips workstations.

See Sage Timeslips installation guides for instructions on installing Sage Timeslips to your server(s).

In this example, the shared folder on the server named APPSRVR is D:\Apps\Timeslips. Follow these steps to install Sage Timeslips on the workstation:

  1. On new workstation installations, program files are copied from the server to the workstation during the local install process.
  2. Click the Windows Start button, type the server name - for example '\\APPSRVR' without quotes - and click OK.
  3. Browse to the shared folder name (example Timeslips) and browse further to the LoclInst folder. Double-click Setup.exe to start the local installation.
  4. The Sage Timeslips Local Install window will appear. Close all other applications and click Next to continue.
  5. At the Installation or Update phase, choose Install. This option will install Sage Timeslips and configure the programs to share your networked Sage Timeslips configuration and data files.
  6. At the Installation Type phase, choose the desired installation:
    • Complete - Installs all available features. This is recommended for normal installations.
    • Custom - Allows the user to configure the desired components to be installed. This commonly used when only installing Sage Mini Timeslips or to eliminate specific functions during a workstation install.
