Troubleshooting Crystal Reports in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate

Resolution

STEP 1: Verify Crystal Reports Runtime Print Preview is functioning:

  1. Launch Address Book.
  2. From the Address Book Reports menu, select Lists, Company Directory (CR).
  3. Click Print Preview.
  4. If the report previews successfully, click Close and continue to the next section.
  5. If the report errors, then reinstall the Crystal Reports Components; see article 20915 "How do I reinstall Crystal Reports components?"

STEP 2: Verify Crystal Reports Runtime Print is functioning:

  1. From the Address Book Reports menu, select Lists, Company Directory (CR).
  2. Click Printer setup.
  3. Select the Print to file check box and click Select file.
  4. Select your Desktop and enter a File name for the file.
  5. Click Save, then OK, then Start.
  6. Review the Background Tasks window for any error messages.
  7. If the Background Tasks window displays Completed normally, verify that you can open the PDF document saved in Step 4.
  8. If you are unable to open the PDF document, or if no PDF document is created, see article 62207 "Error: Report Operation Failed (Reinstall Crystal Runtime)"

If the tests above are successful, the Crystal Reports runtime engine is functioning properly.
