How to send/export an estimate from Sage Estimating SQL to Job Cost:
Verify that the Sage Estimating database and estimate have been setup to use Sage 300 Construction as the job cost system.
To verify if the database has been setup, launch Management Console, click on the Standard DB icon, select the database, scroll down to the Job Cost Info section and verify the Job cost system name field is set to Sage 300 Construction. Click the Setup button and choose the Select button. Login if prompted and select the Sage 300 CRE data folder to assign to. Select the category for each item type and click OK to save. Click Save on the Management Console window to save the changes.
To verify if the estimate has been setup, go to Takeoff if using the classic menu bar or click on the Info button. Scroll down to the Job Cost Info and select Sage 300 Construction. Click on the Setup button, select the data folder and fill in the category for each item. Select the Browse button from the Job number field and select the Job to send the estimate to. Click OK to save and exit.
If you are using the classic menu bar click on the Interface menu and choose Job Cost or click the Advanced tab and select Export to Job Cost.
Log in if prompted.
From the interface wizard, click Next through next 3 screens after verifying all selections are correct.
On the fourth screen select either “Export to JCE” to creates a JCE file to import in Job Cost or "Finish" (in Sage Estimating 18.12) and earlier or "Post to JC" (in Sage Estimating 19.11) and greater to Automatically have Job Cost import the information and Select the radio button for File (Recommended) to select the name and where the report and JCE files will be created.
The new import file will be created automatically unless the option “Export to JCE” was selected. If the option “Export to JCE” was selected, then you will need to import the JCE file from Tools \ Import Estimate.
