Overview

The Means Integrator cost data files correspond to the RSMeans Cost Data Bookst.

With Sage Means Integrator, you can create or extend Estimating Standard databases with items that match those in the RSdMeans Cost Data Books. You can also update prices for your existing Estimating Standard databases that contain RSMeans items.

  1. Install or upgrade to Sage Estimating version XX.XX if you do not already have it installed on your computer
  2. Download the 20XX Means cost data file to the workstation or server where you want to store them.
  3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder to which you downloaded the cost data installation files, right-click DeployDB.exe, and then click Run As Administrator.
  4. In the Deploying Means Integrator Cost Data wizard that appears:
    1. Click [Accept], indicating that you agree to the license terms.
    2. Click [Browse], and then browse to the server or workstation where you want to store your Means Integrator cost data files.
    3. Click [Install]
  5. After the installation is finished, start the Means Ingegrator:
    • In Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, click Start> All apps>Sage Estimating XX.XX > Means Integrator.)
  6. Follow the steps through the Means Integrator wizard

Note: Here is the default path for the mimx files - C:\Users\Public\Sage\Estimating\Means\

Note: The Construction Knowledgebase Databases create a .dll that is used in the Estimating Management Console to "Install Databases" for new databases. The Means Integrator allows you to customize the install.
