Which versions of Sage 50 Accounting currently receive support?

Sage currently only supports the 2024 version of Sage 50 Accounting.  We haven’t yet announced an end of support date for Sage 50 Accounting 2024.

 NOTE: You may receive a false message in the 2024 version that it's obsolete as of March 5, 2024. This is incorrect, and can be fixed. See Obsolescence message in current supported version. 

Why does Sage only support the current version of the software?

• There are many advantages to being on the current version of the software
• There are also advantages to being on a Business Care plan, even if using an older version
• The current version keeps you in compliance with the latest technology and operating systems
  • For example, the introduction of Windows 11
  • Or Microsoft ending support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003
• This lets Sage focus our efforts on creating the best possible experience for customers in the current version

What are the add-on products that stop working after the obsolescence date?

• Direct Deposit
• Sync with Managed Payroll
• Credit card processing
• Remote Data Access (formerly known as Sage Drive)
• Bank Feeds
