Summary

Resolve the “1 user limit exceeded, No valid activation found” error when launching Sage 100 in multi-user environments. Set up Sage 100 activation correctly for Remote Desktop Server (RDS) or Citrix environments.

Resolution

Application server

  1. Stop the Sage 100 Advanced or Premium service or application.
  2. Confirm that no Pvxwin32.exe processes are running in Task Manager.
  3. Open File Explorer and go to ..\MAS90\Home\Lib\Keys\.
  4. Right-click Activate.pvx and select Copy.

Remote Desktop Server

  1. Right-click the Sage 100 shortcut and select Properties.
  2. Click Open File Location to access the Workstation Setup directory.
  3. Open the Lib folder, then the Keys folder.
  4. Right-click the existing Activate.pvx file and select Rename.
  5. Right-click in a blank area and select Paste to insert the copied Activate.pvx file.

Back at the Application Server

  • Restart the Sage 100 Advanced or Premium service or application

Back at the Remote Desktop Server

  • Verify that multiple users can now log into Sage 100
