I just purchased Microsoft 365 from Sage and I want to integrate it with Sage 50

Follow the steps in Getting Started with your Microsoft 365 subscription from Sage.

I purchased Microsoft 365 through a third-party company, not Sage, and I want to use only the Cloud Backup integration feature with Sage 50

Follow the steps in How do I use the Microsoft 365 feature Cloud Backup?.

  1. Go to https://portal.office.com and sign in with your Microsoft 365 credentials. Click the app launcher in the upper left corner, then choose the Admin tile.
  2. On the Admin center, in the Active user's tile, click Edit a user. Click your user name. Verify the following.
    • You have the Global Administrator role
    • You have a Business BasicBusiness Standard, Business Premium, Enterprise E1, E3, or E5 subscription
    • You aren’t using an alias user name
NOTE: You can use an alias user name to log in to Microsoft 365. But you won’t be able to use it when signing on to the integration setup in Sage 50
  3. Call our Sales department at 877-495-9904 and request that they add the "Microsoft 365 Connector SKU" to your account. This will accept Sage as your Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), allowing you to access Microsoft 365’s integration features.
  4. Once you have the Microsoft 365 Connector SKU, the Sage Solutions Admin will send you an email invitation. The email will go to your email address on file and the sender's email address will be [email protected].
  5. If you haven’t received this onboarding email in two business days, contact Sage support. See How do I contact Microsoft 365 support for Sage 50—U.S. Edition?.
  6. Open the email invitation and click blue Get started button.
  7. On the Microsoft Sign in page, enter your Microsoft 365 user name from step 2. Then click the blue Next button.
  8. On the Enter password page, enter your password, then click the blue Sign-in button.
  9. The next window will be labeled Step 1. Agreements and Permissions. Click the blue Accept button at the bottom right.
  10. The next window is labeled Step 2. Connect Sage 50 with Microsoft 365. Click View and Accept Invitation to accept the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Invitation.
  11. Click Sign in to view and accept the invitation.
  12. Click the Check box Yes to indicate you have read and understand the terms.
  13. Click the Authorize CSP button to allow Sage to become a Cloud Solution Provider.
  14. You’ll receive a message that the invitation successfully accepted the delegated administration offer. Click close on this window and switch back to the partner authorization tab.
  15. Enter the verification code you receive in your email. If you don’t receive one within a few minutes, click send another code.
  16. Once the setup completes, click Finish at the bottom.
  17. If you would like to set up Cloud backup, see How do I use the Microsoft 365 feature Cloud Backup?.
