How to install payroll updates

How to install payroll tax updates for Sage 50 Accounting.

 NOTE: You must have a subscription to the payroll tax service to install payroll tax updates. 

Check for updates within the program

1. Go to Services, Check for Updates. Select Check Now.
2. Select Download.
   • If you don’t get the Download prompt, close Sage 50, right-click the Sage 50 program icon. Select Run as administrator, then Check for Updates again.
3. Close Sage 50 to start the installation.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Install the tax update manually

1. Download the update from Sage 50—U.S. Edition: Download Portal.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
3. When the update completes, open Sage 50. Go to Help > About Sage 50 Accounting to verify the update installed.
