How to find the serial number for your Sage 50 Accounting product

If you’re looking for the serial number of a currently installed and activated version of Sage 50: See How do I find the serial number for my currently installed product?

If your serial number doesn't prefill when installing Sage 50 Accounting, do the following:

Check your email: An email containing your Serial Number and Account ID information was sent to the primary contact on your account. The title is "Sage 50 2026.0 is now available". It's possible that the email went into the Spam or Junk folder, so be sure to check there as well.

If you didn't receive the email: Follow the instructions below to locate your serial number on your account.

Purchased directly from Sage

1. Log in to the Customer Portal. If you're new to Sage, sign up for Customer Portal.
2. Select Product information, then My active Services and Plans.
3. Select your Product.
4. Under Activation Codes, select Active. Here you can locate your

Purchased from a retail location (for example, Amazon, Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot)

If you purchased a digital download from a retailer, the retailer will provide you with the serial number via email or a digital locker.

If you purchased a box product from a retailer, you’ll find the serial number in the case under the disc.

Installation

1. During the Sage 50 Installation, use the Serial number for the Application (version) that you're installing. 
2. Once installed, open Sage 50 to activate.
3. If the activation prompt doesn't appear, select Help, Sage 50 Activation, Licensing and Subscription Options.
4. Select Activate Online Now (recommended).
