Resolution

CAUTION: Use caution when working with the below product functionality. Always create a backup of your data before proceeding with advanced solutions. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage business partner, network administrator, or Sage customer support analyst.

CAUTION: The following procedure requires in-depth knowledge of database engines for your Sage product, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Pervasive SQL, and MySQL. Sage can't assist with database administration and isn't responsible for errors resulting from database changes. Back up your system and application databases required for a complete restore. Consider contacting a certified consultant or your database administrator for assistance.

Solution 1: Restart Sage 100 Contractor SQL Server service:

  1. Log into the Sage 100 Contractor Application Server
  2. Go to Start, Administrative Tools
  3. Open Services
  4. Double-click 'SQL Server (Sage100Con)'
  5. Select Stop
  6. Select Start
  7. Close 'SQL Server (Sage100Con) Properties' window
  8. Exit Services Console

Solution 2: Restart the server.

Solution 3: Try making an On Demand backup of the affected companies in Sage 100 Contractor Database Administrator on the server, then restore the backup using a slightly different company name.  Refer to How do I back up and restore my company data in Sage 100 Contractor SQL? and When using Database Administration to make a backup, where are the backups stored in Sage 100 Contractor (SQL) version 20 and later?

Solution 4:  Your company databases may be approaching or have exceeded the 10 GB size limit for MS SQL Server Express Edition. To confirm and resolve this issue, refer to Fatal Error: Insufficient disk space on SQL Server to complete the SQL operation...insufficient disk space in filegroup PRIMARY
