How to swap the Premier Bestsys

If the bestsys database becomes corrupt it can cause the following issues or messages:

• 150 of 200 Deactivations
• Available Seats: Static
• Issues with attachments
• Unable to add Password Secuity
• Issues opening the database utlity

Ensure you know the SA or Equivalent user's password before beginning the process below.

1. Start, Run or Search, type Regedit.
2. Open HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Best Software\MSBestsys (for a 32-bit system). Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\wow6432node\Best Software\MSBestsys (for a 64-bit system).
3. Find LOGICALNAME and change the Logical Name to BESTSYS2 (or any value without space or special characters).
4. Run As Administrator the Database Utility Premier Depreciation and Tracking.
5. Login with the SA or Equivalent User.
6. Click OK to create BESTSYS2 Database.
7. Add the existing Premier asset database(s) to the Database Utility Premier Depreciation and Tracking.
