Best Practices for Keeping Aatrix Current
- Quarterly Updates: Always update Aatrix before processing quarterly forms such as 941s.
- Year-End Updates: Update before generating W-2s, 940s, and other year-end forms. Aatrix typically publishes multiple updates per week during December–February.
- Manual Updates Recommended: Manually update Aatrix each time to avoid errors and stay compliant if you use it only a few times a year.
- Monitor for Changes: If a tax form changes mid-year, Aatrix may release a patch. Check the Sage Community Hub for Sage 300 CRE and Year-End Center to stay updated.
- TIPS:
- Always run Aatrix updates with administrator privileges. See How do I update Aatrix eFile and Reporting forms? and How do I verify users' Permissions for Aatrix files? for details.
- Add Aatrix to your antivirus/firewall exceptions list. See How to configure your firewall to download the Aatrix updates for details.
- If prompted to install an Aatrix update, follow the prompts to install the latest form changes.
