Before you begin

Update all data entries and ensure users sign off from the Sage 100 program
Back up your data
Avoid installing the same version of Sage 100 multiple times on the same server—Microsoft Installer blocks this
Back up your data, then uninstall Sage 100 before moving to a new location on the same server
Confirm that all third-party add-ins, programs, or enhancements are available from the appropriate vendor

Moving Sage 100 versions 2013 or higher

Download the installation files

Download the Sage 100 Full Product and any product updates or hotfixes

Determine installation locations

Note the location of the ..\MAS90 directory on your current Sage 100 server.
Determine the new installation location.
If the current server can’t access the new location, copy the MAS90 directory to the new location.
Place the copied directory in a separate folder from the new installation directory.

Install Sage 100 at the new location

Install your current version of Sage 100 or a newer version, at the new location.
Apply all product updates and hotfixes.
Install any third-party add-ins, programs, or enhancements according to their vendor instructions.
Transfer any company data and Paperless Office documents to the new location.

Migrate system info and company data

NOTE: Run the Parallel Migration Wizard from the new location. Don't run from the previous location and don't migrate from an installation to itself.

Go to the ..\MAS90\ Migration subdirectory at the new location.
Ensure all users log out if you're migrating from the previous instance (not from a copied directory).
For Sage 100 Advanced or Premium editions, stop the Sage 100 services. Stop the services by opening Start, Run, typing compmgmt.msc, and selecting Services.
Right-click Migrate.exe and select Run as administrator to launch the Parallel Migration Wizard.
Follow the prompts to migrate System Information and company data from the previous installation.

Workstation setup

Run the Workstation Setup on workstations to connect to the new installation.

NOTE: You can't copy the company (MAS_xxx) into another installation without the MAS_SYSTEM for 2018 or higher. It's best to migrate data to the new installation.

Moving Sage 100 retired versions
NOTE: Downloads are no longer available for retired versions. The procedures below help you upgrade older versions to the latest.

▼Sage 100 Standard and Advanced (formerly Sage MAS 90 or 200) Versions 4.40 and 4.50

Exit all users from the current Sage 100 installation.
Copy the entire ..\MAS90 directory to the new location without interruption.
NOTE: Any interruption to the copying or moving operation can damage data.
Install Sage 100 in a new location.
Stop the Application Server if you're using Sage 100 Advanced.
NOTE: This can be running as a service or a desktop application.
Go to the ..\MAS90\Migration subdirectory in the new installation.
Right-click Migrate.exe and select Run as administrator to launch the Parallel Migration Wizard.
Follow the prompts to migrate system information and company data from the previous installation or copied directory.
Run the Workstation Setup on workstations on each workstation to connect to the new installation.

▼Sage 100 Standard (formerly Sage MAS90) Versions 4.00 through 4.30

Exit all users from the current Sage 100 installation.
Copy the entire ..\MAS90 directory to the new location without interruption.
NOTE: Any interruption to the copying or moving operation can damage data.
Rename the ..\Uninstall Information\ folder at the new location.
Reinstall all Sage 100 modules on the server to register a new installation with InstallShield. Your product key will auto-populate the modules.
Enable security if it’s enabled in the original installation.
Reinstall any third-party enhancements.
Create new mappings on all workstations.
Run the Workstation Setup on workstations on each workstation to connect to the new installation.
Replace any shortcut icons that go to the old location.
Start Sage MAS 90 to verify the program, company data, and path
NOTE: In Sage 100 go to Open, File, Run, type INFO, click OK, and verify the path.
For Version 4.30, move PDF documents for Paperless Office if applicable.

▼Sage 100 Advanced (formerly Sage MAS 200) Versions 4.00 through 4.30

Exit all users from the current Sage 100 installation.
Copy the entire ..\MAS90 directory to the new location without interruption.
NOTE: Any interruption to the copying or moving operation can damage data.
At the new location, delete the ..Mas90\Uninstall Information directory and the ..Mas90\home\lib\_appserv directory.
Reinstall all Sage 100 modules on the server to register a new installation with InstallShield.
The Application Server components install to the new location. Re-enter registration information when prompted.
NOTE: If you enabled security during Sage MAS 90 installation, enable it on the new server again. Use the same administrator password. Re-enter the registration keys to complete the setup.
In Application Server Configuration, assign the server an unused port. Click Start or set it up as a service.
NOTE: If running as a service, set Log in to at least Local Administrator or Domain User.
Run the Workstation Setup on workstations on each workstation to connect to the new installation.
Replace any shortcut icons that go to the old location.
Start Sage MAS 200 to verify a working installation.

NOTE: With Sage 100 Advanced, registry keys can still go to the original Application Server Service installation. If moving to a new location on the same server, uninstall the Service using its uninstall utility. Reinstall the Service from the new location using the Application Server Service Setup.
