Before you begin - Update all data entries and ensure users sign off from the Sage 100 program
- Back up your data
- Avoid installing the same version of Sage 100 multiple times on the same server—Microsoft Installer blocks this
- Back up your data, then uninstall Sage 100 before moving to a new location on the same server
- Confirm that all third-party add-ins, programs, or enhancements are available from the appropriate vendor
Moving Sage 100 versions 2013 or higher Download the installation files Determine installation locations - Note the location of the ..\MAS90 directory on your current Sage 100 server.
- Determine the new installation location.
- If the current server can’t access the new location, copy the MAS90 directory to the new location.
- Place the copied directory in a separate folder from the new installation directory.
Install Sage 100 at the new location - Install your current version of Sage 100 or a newer version, at the new location.
- Apply all product updates and hotfixes.
- Install any third-party add-ins, programs, or enhancements according to their vendor instructions.
- Transfer any company data and Paperless Office documents to the new location.
Migrate system info and company data NOTE: Run the Parallel Migration Wizard from the new location. Don't run from the previous location and don't migrate from an installation to itself. - Go to the ..\MAS90\ Migration subdirectory at the new location.
- Ensure all users log out if you're migrating from the previous instance (not from a copied directory).
- For Sage 100 Advanced or Premium editions, stop the Sage 100 services. Stop the services by opening Start, Run, typing compmgmt.msc, and selecting Services.
- Right-click Migrate.exe and select Run as administrator to launch the Parallel Migration Wizard.
- Follow the prompts to migrate System Information and company data from the previous installation.
Workstation setup NOTE: You can't copy the company (MAS_xxx) into another installation without the MAS_SYSTEM for 2018 or higher. It's best to migrate data to the new installation. Moving Sage 100 retired versions
