[BCB:328:GENERAL WARNING:ECB] Moving Sage 100 versions 2013 or higher NOTE: - Ensure all data entries are updated, and users are signed off from the Sage 100 program
- Back up your data — See How to backup and restore data, program and system files for Sage 100
- Microsoft Installer prevents multiple installations of the same version on the same server
- If you're moving the installation to a new location on the same server, you must uninstall Sage 100 after backing up the data
- Ensure all third-party add-ins, programs, or enhancements are available from the appropriate vendor
Step 1: Download the installation files- Download the Sage 100 Full Product.
- Download the applicable product updates and hotfixes.
See Sage 100: Download Portal Step 2: Determine installation locations- Note down the location of "..\MAS90" directory on your current Sage 100 server.
- Determine the new installation location.
- If the new location is on a different server or location from where you cannot access the current location, copy the current "MAS90" directory, including all its content, to the new server in a directory other than the new installation directory.
Step 3: Install Sage 100 at the new location- Install the current version of Sage 100 or higher at the new location.
- Apply all product updates and hotfixes. See How to install Sage 100 and locate installation and upgrade information.
- Install any third-party add-ins, programs or enhancements as the third-party vendor instructs.
- If any company data and Paperless Office documents are stored in different locations, transfer them to the new location. See How to move PDF documents for Paperless Office.
Step 4: Migrate system info and company data NOTE: You must run Parallel Migration Wizard from the new location, NOT from the previous installation and do not migrate from an installation to itself. - At the new location, go to "..\MAS90\Migration" subdirectory.
- Ensure all users are logged out if migrating from the previous instance, not the copy.
- For Sage 100 Advanced or Premium editions, stop the Sage 100 services (Start, Run, compmgmt.msc, services).
- Right-click Migrate.exe and select Run as administrator to launch the Parallel Migration Wizard.
- Follow the prompts to migrate System Information and company data from the previous installation location or from the copy.
