Create a Chart of Accounts from existing base accounts and prefixes

  1. Select General Ledger, Setup, Generate Accounts.
  2. Select the base accounts you want to include in the chart of accounts.
  3. Click Start Range to select base accounts, or click Include All to include all base accounts.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Select the prefix or prefixes you want to combine with each of the previously selected base accounts.
  6. Click Start Range to select prefixes, or click Include All to generate accounts for all prefixes.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Start.
  9. This task doesn't show progress or print a journal. Print a chart of accounts to confirm it created the accounts correctly.
