How to do a clean uninstall of Sage 100 Intelligence

Resolution

Please do the following to completely uninstall Sage Intelligence from the workstation:

*Important Note: If any custom reports exist, export them out before uninstalling, See related article below for instructions

  1. Using Windows Add/Remove Programs, uninstall the following:
    1. Sage Intelligence Patches (if applicable)
    2. Sage Intelligence Report Designer Add-In (if applicable)
    3. Sage 100 Intelligence
  2. Verify the following folders have been deleted.If any exist, please delete them.(Note: if using a 32-bit machine the folder will be C:\Program Files\Common Files\):            
  3. Verify the following folder has been deleted. If folder exist, please delete it. (Note: if using a 32-bit machine the folder will be C:\Program Files\Sage\): 
  4. Search all drives on workstation for the following files to make sure all instances were removed:
    • PLDONGLE.dll
    • Alchemex.svd
  5. Delete the shared Repository folder you created
  6. Verify UAC (User Account Control) is set to Never Notify   **See related article below for instructions
  7. Reboot workstation
  8. Log in as local administrator account to the workstation
  9. Launch Excel and close Excel  
  10. Create a NEW shared repository folder (ex. \\ \SMI450 ) **See related article below for instructions
  11. Reinstall Sage 100 Intelligence (you must install the version compatible with your Sage 100 ERP version,( i.e. Sage Intelligence v4.50 compatible with Sage 100 v4.5, Sage Intelligence version 5.0 is compatible with Sage 100 ERP v2013) **See Important Installation Reminders below
  12. You will be required to register Sage Intelligence in License Manager **See related article below for instructions
  13. Launch Report Manager, verify you can generate a standard canned financial report (under Financials folder)
  14. Exit out of Excel and Report Manager
  15. Reinstall Report Designer Add-in and patches if applicable **See Important Installation Reminders below
  16. Verify you can successfully generate canned Report Designer Add-in report
  17. If applicable, import any custom reports.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION REMINDERS: 

  • All Sage Intelligence installation files MUST be saved and run directly from the workstation where Sage Intelligence is being installed (i.e. Desktop)
  • If installing on Windows 7 workstation or above, right click on .exe file and select to Run as Administrator

 

If you are still receiving having issues after completing all steps above, please do the following:

  1. Open Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Microsoft SQL Compact 3.5 SP2 ENU
  2. Download (save to the local machine where it needs to be installed, i.e. Desktop) and Install Microsoft SQL Compact SP2 from Microsoft's web site, http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5783
    • On a x64 bit machine both the 32 and 64 bit versions of SQLcompact edition SP2 need to be installed. The download in the link will extract into both installers.
    • Install both the 64 and 32(x86) versions.
