How to Uninstall and Re-install the Sage Exchange Desktop (SED) v1.x
Description

Paya has set an obsolescence date for SED 1.0 of June 25th, 2018. Sage Exchange Desktop 2.0 has a legacy service built into the program to support SED 1.0 integrated products. Customers using these versions of Sage 100 must complete a transition to Sage Exchange Desktop 2.0 (SED 2.0). for additional information regarding Sage 100 and TLS compliance, go to Sage 100 & TLS Compliance and Sage Exchange Desktop 1.0 & TLS Compliance

Note: Sage Exchange Desktop (SED) 1.0 applies to Sage 100 2013 (5.00) through Sage 100 2014, possibly also Sage 100 2015 - all of which are retired. Sage Exchange Desktop is now Paya Connect Desktop. The information below is for archival purposes only.

Windows 7 and newer Operating Systems

  1. Right-click on the SE icon located on the bottom right of your monitor.
  2. Select Exit
  3. Go to the Start Menu
  4. Select Control Panel
  5. Open Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program
  6. Uninstall Sage Exchange (Once SE is uninstalled proceed to Step 7.)
  7. Go to the Start Menu
  8. Click on Computer
  9. Open up Local Disk (C:)
  10. Open up Users
  11. Open up the user’s folder (the user folder would be for the “user” that’s logged into that PC)
    • To show Hidden Folders press the ALT key. Open Tools, Folder Options
    • Click on the View tab 
    • Select the radio button for “Show hidden folders, files, and drives”.
  12. Open AppData\Local\ Apps\2.0 (ex... C:\Users\JohnDoe\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\)
  13. Delete both folders.
  14. Attempt to run a transaction through your Sage software. If your application
    does not prompt you to install the Sage Exchange Desktop go to
    www.sageexchange.com/install

Uninstalling and Reinstalling Module SDK

  1. Go to the Start Menu
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Open Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program
  4. Locate Module SDK. Right click and select Uninstall.
  5. To reinstall, access the ..\MAS90\Wksetup\Prerequisites\SageExchange\setup.msi located where Sage 100 is installed on the server
  6. Right click and select Install
  7. Make sure to select All Users when prompted

Module SDK can also be downloaded and manually installed from www.sageexchange/install
