IMPORTANT:  The migration Tools is only available in Sage Estimating 20.1 and lower.

If you have been using a Pervasive/Actian-based version of Sage Estimating, you can migrate (transfer) your existing Pervasive/Actian-based data to the Microsoft® SQL Server® database platform.

Notes:

  • You must be using Sage Estimating 9.6 or later to migrate your data
  • If you are currently using Sage Estimating 9.6, you cannot perform data migration from a computer operating with Windows Vista®
  • Once the data is migrated to Microsoft SQL, it cannot be migrated back to the Pervasive/Actian version
  • Even though the migrate screens say "Migrate Databases," you can use this procedure to migrate estimates
  • You must be migrating to SQL version 20.1 or earlier
  • If you are starting the migration from a new system or test system, the Pervasive/Actian PSQL database engine must also be installed on that system
  • A Pervasive Server Engine must be installed on the computer running the Estimating Management Console running the Migration tool.
