| Why are my ISD windows services missing on the server after upgrading MyAssistant? |
Cause |
- The server was installed with the client install.
- The server configuration has not been completed.
|
Resolution |
Verify the Version installed:
- Go to the Windows Start button.
- In the Run or Search box type regedit.
- Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Wow6432Node, Innovative Software Design, My Assistant, Setup Information.
- Locate the Installation Type key in the right hand window:
- If it says Server, continue to Option A.
- If it says Workstation, continue to Option B.
Option A: The MyAssistant Server Configuration has not been completed
- Launch the MyAssistant Configuration Manager on the server.
- Complete the configuration process.
- The services will be created when the configuration is finished.
- If issue is not resolved go to Option B
Option B: The workstation installation was used instead of the server.
- Uninstall MyAssistant using the Windows Control Panel, Programs and Features.
- Reinstall MyAssistant using the SetupServer.exe file.
- When install completes, Run the MyAssistant Configuration Manager through to Finish.
If neither of those options resolve, then rerun the SetupServer.exe from the MyAssistant installation files and complete the configuration again.
