Confirm that Windows User Access Control (UAC) is turned off on the server where the MyAssistant Server will be installed. This will need to remain off for MyAssistant to work correctly. Refer to the Windows Users settings for access to User Access Control settings.

Note: Verify that full control is also propagated to all the subfolders and files. Contact your system administrator for assistance before you modify file permissions on your servers or workstations.

This folder is located on the file server, terminal server, and workstations where you installed Sage MyAssistant. It is the default installation location for Sage MyAssistant. However, depending on your system configuration, your company may have renamed this folder or installed it to a different location.

[Drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Innovative Software Design

This folder is located on the file server, terminal server, and workstations where you use Sage MyAssistant. Typically, the user has full control of this folder by default.

[Drive]:\ProgramData\Innovative Software Design

This folder is located on the file server, terminal server, and workstations where you use Sage MyAssistant. Sage MyAssistant installs necessary files to this folder and requires that all users have full control permissions to this folder and all of its subfolders. To view hidden folders:

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Select OrganizeFolder and Search Options.
  3. On the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders.

Registry Keys
Note: Verify that Sage MyAssistant operators have full control of the following Windows registry keys on the file server and on any workstations or terminal servers. Propagate full control to all subkeys. Contact your system administrator for assistance before you modify Windows Registry permissions.
