Resolution

[BCB:4:Operating system warning:ECB]

Important information before you begin

  • This issue happens after installing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (v10.0.14393)
  • If Paperless Office PDF printing worked before but suddenly stopped, a Windows Update likely caused the issue
  • Some Sage 100 users report that updates can delete registry entries or programs
  • We’ve seen Sage 100 PDF Converter registry entries disappear or get corrupted
    • Reinstalling the converter usually restores the missing registry entries

If the registry key at ..\HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\Software no longer shows Sage 100 PDF Converter, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel, go to User Accounts, then Change User Account Control Settings. Set it to Never Notify.
  2. Remove the Sage 100 PDF Converter printer from Control Panel, Devices and Printers.
  3. Reinstall the converter using the PL_AdvancedOptions_Ui utility in Sage 100.
    • Go to File, Run, enter PL_AdvancedOptions_Ui
    • click OK, then select Install Converter

Possible Workaround

  • User Account Control (UAC) must be On at least Level 1 for this to work
  • We recommend setting it to Never Notify for the best results
