Note: This requires use of the Custom Office module application (also known as Customizer). Not all installations of Sage 100 include this module.
Note: This is considered customization. Using the Custom Office application module requires knowledge and familiarity. Sage 100 Customer Support does not assist in creating customizations and may not be able to troubleshoot or resolve errors or issues that may arise from customizations (this also applies to custom scripts). If you encounter an error or issue, you may have to delete or remove the customization and start over. Therefore, you may want to get assistance from your local Sage business partner or a qualified consultant. There is also Customizer training available on Sage University (www.sageu.com).
Caution: This procedure is used for troubleshooting issues with Custom Office (Customizer) modifications. it applies to the workstation and is temporary. This procedure may be used to help confirm if there is a problem with a customized panel. Not all customizations may be disabled in this manner. If it is determined there is an issue with the customized panel, the customized panel may need to be restored, recreated, updated or corrected.
Note: In general, most (but not all) Customizer Selection modifications made via the Custom Office module will be disabled for the specific workstation when the procedure is followed. In some rare instances, this may cause unexpected behavior or errors, especially if third-party enhancements are involved.
- From the Sage 100 Desktop, click File

- For Program, enter the following: *ESC
- Click OK
- Select Yes when prompted with, "Do you want to enable Escape Trapping?"
- Custom Office customizations will now be temporarily disabled
Note: To later disable Escape Trapping that was enabled, run the *ESC command again to select Yes to disable Escape Trapping. Or, log out of Sage 100 at the workstation where Escape Trapping was enabled, then log back in again.
