The program won’t open creating an Event Viewer error: "Exception Info: System.IO.FileNotFoundException..."

Cause
Resolution

Run Sagereg.exe to force activation.

  1. Close Sage 50.
  2. Open Computer.
  3. Browse to program path. See How to find data path and program path.
  4. Run SageReg.exe.
  5. Click the Sage 50 Activation tab.
  6. Click the Activate button.
  7. When instructed, close the Activation windows and launch Sage 50 to complete the Activation.

If the problem still occurs:

  1. Run a repair on the Sage 50 program. See How to repair the Sage 50 installation.
  2. Test the program to verify that it now opens.

If the problem still occurs, uninstall and reinstall Actian Zen. See How to completely remove and reinstall Actian (formerly Pervasive)

 

If the problem still occurs after that, uninstall Sage 50 and reinstall it to a new data path. See How to change the data path.
