Information about updates

  • Updates downloaded through Services, Check for Updates save to the Updates folder in your data path
  • In a network setup, always install product updates on the server first
  • Install tax updates on each computer, but the order doesn't matter
  • If both are available, install product updates before installing tax updates

Resolution

Manually download the update (recommended)

  1. Download at Sage 50—U.S. Edition: Download Portal.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
  3. When the update completes, open Sage 50. Go to Help > About Sage 50 Accounting to verify the update installed.

Install the update from the data path

  1. Close Sage 50.
  2. Browse to the Updates folder located in your data path. See How to find the data path and program path.
  3. Double-click the latest Service Release or Tax Update to begin installation.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
  5. When the update completes, open Sage 50. Go to Help > About Sage 50 Accounting to verify the update installed.

Tax form updates

  1. On an Internet-connected PC, go to https://aatrix.com/partners/sage50/updates/.
  2. Click Download and save Peach.exe.
    • If the program is on a different PC, copy Peach.exe to a memory stick. Then take it to the Sage 50 PC
  3. Double-click Peach.exe to start the installation.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update. When the installation completes, your tax forms will be up-to-date and ready to use.
