Summary
Creating and saving a New Bill crashes the program. May result in the error "Sage 50 cannot be started" after program is opened.

CAUTION: This solution requires advanced knowledge of Windows security and network settings. Sage isn't responsible for any issues that may arise from changes to these settings. Back up all system and application databases needed for a complete restoration. Consider contacting a certified consultant or your system administrator for assistance.
Section 1: Set Run as Adminstrator
- Right-click the Sage 50 icon and click Properties.
- Click the Compatibility Tab.
- Check Run As adminstrator.
- Verify program and company can open and tasks can be completed without errors.
Section 2: Clear DDFs and reinstall Actian
- Locate your company directory; see How to locate company directories.
- Close Sage 50—U.S. Edition.
- Browse to your data path; see How to find data path and program path.
- Select the company directory that you are having the issues, and remove any file with a file type of .DDF.
- Completely remove Pervasive and reinstall it; see How to completely remove and reinstall Actian (formerly Pervasive).
- Verify program and company can open and tasks can be completed without errors.
