Verify Margin Settings:

  1. Open Sage Desktop.
  2. Go to Applications, Common Tasks.
  3. Go to Tools, select Customize. Verify the Font is Courier New 12.
    Note: Setting a font other than Courier New 12 may cause printing issues.
  4. Go to Tools, select Options.
  5. Click the Reports tab and verify you're using the default margins. The default margins are as follows:
Margin Setting
Top 0.25
Bottom 0.50
Left 0.25
 Right  0.50

 

Check the Printer Driver

 

Check the Print Spooler Settings

In Windows 10

  1. Click the Windows Start button.
  2. Press the Settings icon.
  3. Select Devices.
  4. Select Printers & Scanners from the menu on the left.
  5. Left click the printer and select Manage.
  6. Right click the printer and select Printer Properties.
  7. Click the Advanced tab.
  8. Select Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster.
  9. Select Start printing after last page is spooled.

In Windows 11

  1. Click the Windows Search (magnifying glass) field
  2. Type Settings and open the Settings window.
  3. Select Bluetooth and Devices, then Printers & scanners.
  4. Choose the printer name.
  5. Choose Printer settings, Printer properties, Advanced.
  6. Choose Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster.
  7. Choose Start printing after last page is spooled.
  8. Click OK.

 

Rename the General Key

Note: Contact your system administrator for assistance. Incorrectly renaming a registry key can severely damage your Windows operating system.

  1. Close all Sage applications.
  2. From the Windows Start menu, type "REGEDIT" and launch Regedit
  3. In the Windows Registry Editor, browse to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Timberline/General key.
  4. Right click General and select Rename.
  5. Rename the key to General_Old.
  6. Start your applications again after renaming the key.

 

Additional Troubleshooting:

  • If the message displays when accessing a saved print file, re-create the file after performing the above steps.
  • Verify the check stock is loaded in the proper tray in the printer. If the checks are in the manual tray they may not print properly.
  • Use the PING command to verify the network printer is currently functional and fully accessible via network connection.
  • Access the Crystal Report margins from the Print Preview using the Page Setup button in the top left.

Note: TS PDF Generator cannot be the default printer nor can it be the only printer driver.
