| | The program won’t launch or appears to be frozen |
| Resolution | Check for running tasks - Ensure all users are out of Sage BusinessWorks.
- Use Ctrl + Alt + Delete and pull up Task Manager.
- End all Sage BusinessWorks processes (BWLauncher, BWServer, Taskxxxx.exe).
- Disconnect users.
Verify the correct version of the database engine is installed - Verify whether the client has Pervasive installed.
- In the Windows search, type Control Panel
- Launch the Control Panel, then select Programs and Features
- If you see Pervasive installed, uninstall and then reinstall the database engine.
Other Troubleshooting steps - Disable all antivirus software.
- If you continue to experience issues, completely remove your antivirus software
- Reboot the server to free up RAM and any locked files.
- Reinstall Sage BusinessWorks and the most current service pack at the server.
- Contact a computer technician to see if there’s a virus on the PC.
- Remove the virus
- Reinstall Sage BusinessWorks
- Launch the program
If the program appears to launch but the login screen doesn't display, delete the launcher key from the Windows Registry.
