| Resolution | Enter SMTP Server Settings - Open Library Master, Main menu, Company Maintenance.
- For Company Code, enter or select the company code.
- Go to the E-mail tab.
- Enter the following:
- Address: DNS or IP address of the SMTP server.
- Port: Port ID (default is 25; check with your provider for alternatives).
- SMTP Encryption:
- None: No encryption (usually port 25).
- SSL: Implicit SSL (usually port 465. The system no longer supports SSL).
- TLS/Start TLS: Explicit SSL (ports 25, 443, or 587; preferred for security).
- User ID: Login account or full email address.
- Domain: Domain name if required.
- Password: Password for the login account.
- Use 128-Bit Encryption for Password Protected Documents: Check to enable, uncheck to disable.
- Click Accept to save changes.
Test E-mail Delivery - Open Library Master, Main menu, Company Maintenance.
- Select the company code and go to the E-mail tab.
- Click Test E-mail.
- Enter:
- From E-mail Address
- Subject Line for Test
- To E-mail Address (use an address you can access)
- Click Send.
- Confirm delivery or troubleshoot using the Chilkat error log.
