Enter SMTP E-mail Server settings for Paperless Office Electronic Delivery
Description

Sage doesn’t test all email providers or guarantee compatibility with every service. If errors occur, use the Chilkat error log for troubleshooting.

Resolution

Enter SMTP Server Settings

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, Company Maintenance.
  2. For Company Code, enter or select the company code.
  3. Go to the E-mail tab.
  4. Enter the following:
    • Address: DNS or IP address of the SMTP server.
    • Port: Port ID (default is 25; check with your provider for alternatives).
    • SMTP Encryption:
      • None: No encryption (usually port 25).
      • SSL: Implicit SSL (usually port 465. The system no longer supports SSL).
      • TLS/Start TLS: Explicit SSL (ports 25, 443, or 587; preferred for security).
    • User ID: Login account or full email address.
    • Domain: Domain name if required.
    • Password: Password for the login account.
    • Use 128-Bit Encryption for Password Protected Documents: Check to enable, uncheck to disable.
  5. Click Accept to save changes.

Test E-mail Delivery

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, Company Maintenance.
  2. Select the company code and go to the E-mail tab.
  3. Click Test E-mail.
  4. Enter:
    • From E-mail Address
    • Subject Line for Test
    • To E-mail Address (use an address you can access)
  5. Click Send.
  6. Confirm delivery or troubleshoot using the Chilkat error log.

 NOTE: Not all email server software follows SMTP standards. Sage doesn’t test all services.
