What you will need To use Remote Data Access Multi-User (multiple users simultaneously), you’ll need the following: - The currently supported release of Sage 50 is installed on your computer
- Sage Drive multi-user license (separate from and in addition to the Sage 50 multi-user license); to purchase the Remote Data Access multi-user license, contact Sales at 877-495-9904
- Each Sage 50 user accessing the company will need to sign in to Remote Data Access and have a unique Sage account email address, even local users accessing it over the local network
- A high-speed internet connection
- A hard-wired high-speed Internet connection on any machine using Remote Data Access
- For best performance: Download speed of at least 25mbps and an upload speed of at least 10mpbs
- For companies less than 500 megabytes that don’t use inventory or multiple lines on transactions an upload speed of 10mbps is sufficient
- For companies greater than 500 megabytes that don’t use inventory or multiple lines on transactions an upload speed of 10mbps or more is recommended for the best performance
- For all companies using inventory and/or multiple lines on transactions, an upload speed of at least 10mbps is recommended for the best performance
NOTE: The data size limit for Remote Data Access companies is 5.3GB, which includes attachments and archives. - If your database size is larger than 5.3GB, you can use the purge process to reduce the database size. See How to Purge data
