Description

Use this article when the Premier Client can’t connect, immediately crashes, or appears to load but does nothing.

Resolution

Confirm network support

  • Verify the client connects on the same local network as the SQL server.
  • Sage Fixed Assets doesn't support connections over VPN or wide area networks.

Verify database version

Match Premier versions

  • Confirm Premier Server and Premier Client use the same version.
  • Install or update the client using How to install a client.

Validate SQL server name

  • Check that the SQL server name is correct.
  • Ensure the correct instance name exists in the connection settings.
