| Cause | A record or file is locked by another user or workstation or is locked open on the server. A large Log Viewer file (QLM file) can also cause "file in use" messages or files to become locked. |
| Resolution | [BCB:3:Network warning:ECB] - Have all users exit all Sage 300 CRE applications.
- Have all users exit any third-party programs that access Sage data.
- Relaunch Sage 300 CRE and try the tasks again.
- If the message persists, have the affected user reboot their workstation.
- Have users in remote sessions log off properly.
- If this doesn't resolve it, release the files at the server.
- Test the tasks again.
- If the issue continues, archive or move the Log Viewer file.
- After resolving the error, restart services for any third-party programs to refresh the connection to Sage data.
