Description

The error also presents itself as "Failed to connect to the server (server not found)", "Error: "Failure of DFInitialize function; BTRVLoginError(7025)", or "Btrieve status 3013: Server name not found".

Error Occurs on One Workstation

  1. Check the Windows system tray. Right-click on the Sage BusinessWorks icon and select Exit.

  2. Reboot the computer.
  3. Stop and restart the database engine at the server.
  4. Share the Sage folder with full control at the server, for the receiving the error.
  5. Make sure your workstation can ping the server by name by performing a ping test.
  6. Uninstall the database engine and reinstall Sage BusinessWorks Client.

Error Occurs on the Server and All Workstations

 NOTE: Contact your computer technician to assist with troubleshooting.

  1. Stop and restart the database engine at the server.
  2. Open ports 1583 and 3351in the Windows Firewall for both inbound and outbound traffic.
  3. Share the Sage folder at the server.
  4. Disable the antivirus software and perform the task. 
  5. Reboot the server and all workstations.
  6. If you change the server computer name, you’ll need to uninstall and install the Sage BusinessWorks client.
