| Resolution | The error occurs on the server - Uninstall Sage BusinessWorks using Control Panel, Programs and Features.
- Reinstall Sage BusinessWorks.
The error occurs on a workstation Blocked ports: - Use the Telnet command to test the functionality of ports 1583 and 3351.
- Make sure to allow traffic through ports 1583 and 3351.
- Verify Sage BusinessWorks launches successfully.
Unable to resolve computer name using ping test - Run a ping test to verify that the workstation that’s receiving the error is correctly resolving the computer name.
- Work with a network technician to resolve the issue if you can’t resolve the server name
- If the error occurs on just 1 workstation, verify the installation type of the workstation.
If the error occurs on a standalone when disconnected from the internet - In the Windows search, type View your PC name.
- View the Device name.
- If the Device name is longer than 15 characters, rename the computer to a shorter name.
- Once renamed, reinstall Sage BusinessWorks.
