Cause
The Sage Fixed Assets version 2024.1 is the annual Tax update, updating Tax forms and calculation rules in compliance with current IRS rules. See the Sage Fixed Asset Release Notes for new features include in this release.
For detailed installation instructions, See the Sage 50 Fixed Assets Quick Start Guide.
Note: Starting with Sage Fixed Assets 2023.1, Sage Fixed Assets is installing SAP Crystal Reports runtime SP30. This can cause an issue with Crystal Reports runtime versions used for other products. See Crystal Runtime Version Conflict for more information.
If you can’t run reports in Sage Fixed Assets 2024.1 after installing Sage 500, see Crystal conflict Sage Fixed Assets 2023.1 and Sage 500.

Sage Fixed Assets - Database Conversion
Note: On opening the Sage 50 Fixed Assets version 2024.1 for the first time, the In-place conversion will launch automatically. It will attempt to open the last database touched and convert the database. If there’s only a single database, no further steps are required
- If you’re converting multiple databases, use the Conversion Utility (See How do I convert data? for details)
Updating from older versions:
Warning: If updating from 2022.1 or prior once you install 2024.1 without going to the appropriate update path, you can't convert the databases directly to 2024.1. They’ll appear with a Conversion Status of Incompatible Version and will require a Sage Expert Services engagement to update. See How do I contact Sage Expert Services? for details.
Note: For in place updates, you must perform a Database Conversion for all versions of the program 2023.1 and prior. When updating from versions 2023.0 and prior, the update paths are:
- If updating from 2023.0:
- Uninstall the existing version, install 2024.1 and convert the databases
- If updating from 2013.0 – 2022.1: You can't convert the existing databases. You'll need to migrate to new databases. See How to migrate Sage Fixed Assets Single User products for more information. Company Backups (.BBK files) created in prior versions back to 2012.0 will restore directly into the 2024.1 product on a new system.
