Notes:

If you want to delete the property, follow the steps below to remove properties from Property Management. Refer to the attached links for more information about each of these steps.

  1. Back up your data files. See How do I use File Tools to back up data files?
  2. Terminate leases and move them to history. See How do I terminate a lease in Property Management? and How do I change a terminated lease to historical status (Move to History) in Property Management?
  3. Run Clear Paid Items using Conditions to select the property you're removing, and print reports to verify the transactions that move. See How do I run Clear Paid Items in Property Management?
  4. Delete leases. Remember to print reports to verify that there are no open items on the leases before you delete them.
  5. Delete units. See How do I delete a unit in Property Management?
  6. Delete properties.
    1. Back up your data files. See How do I use File Tools to back up data files?
    2. From the Setup menu, select Properties.
    3. Select the property you want to delete from the Property list.
    4. Click X and then click Yes to delete the property.
    5. Repeat steps 6.c and 6.d for each property that you want to delete, and then click Close.
