Windows 8 Compatibility mode is on for the shortcut
- Right-click on the Sage 50 Accounting shortcut and select Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Uncheck Compatibility mode and click OK.
Disconnected network drive
- Click the Windows Start button and in the Search box, type File Explorer. Press Enter.
- Look for the mapped drive Sage 50 uses.
If there’s a red x on the drive, see Error: "Sage 50 cannot be started..." and my mapped drive is missing, has a red x, or cannot be accessed.
If you continue to have issues with the mapped network drive disconnecting, switch to a UNC path. See How to update the INI on the workstations using a UNC path.
See How do I install using UNC paths in Release 2021 and later? for installation instructions using the UNC path.
